12-20-17.  Continuing in an effort to help children in need, members of the Board of Directors Barb Dabler, Tim Crossin and Tim Sashko of Operation North Pole, ONP volunteers Nan Crossin, Jim Leibach and Tony Zulfer, Rich Lalley  Executive Director of Operation Warm, Schiller Park Fire Department and employees of Pilot Freight joined together to distribute over 780 coats to the children of John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Schiller Park today.  Channel 5 Chicago was on hand to capture the faces of joy and excitement as each child in the school received a new coat.  Channel 5 Chicago interviewed ONP Board President Barb Dabler who stated "it is our way of continuing the mission of Operation North Pole and our partners in making a difference in the lives of all of the children we serve"!

Channel 5 also interviewed many of the children in the school and what it meant to get this special, unexpected gift for the holiday season.  Operation Warm and Pilot Freight are partners in the mission, providing the coats to Operation North Pole for distribution.  Pilot employees were on hand for the first time to see the "end result" of their efforts in this mission, assisting with sizing the children and putting a smile on their faces.  Daniel Benitez with Pilot stated "it was a very special moment for all of us here at Pilot. We had a lot of fun, and seeing all those happy kids really made our day even brighter. Looking forward to next year".

Operation North Pole in 2017 has distributed over 7,500 coats to many children in need in the Chicagoland area!
