About the Event

Operation North Pole (“ONP”) is proud to host a 3-course Paella dining experience featuring Chef Francois Sanchez and Chef Patrick Chabert. Proceeds from the event will benefit ONP’s winter coat program benefitting economically disadvantaged school children.

Chefs Francois and Patrick have been long-time supporters of ONP and have participated in all of our many Operation Taste extravaganzas. Their generosity is evident in the fact that they approached ONP and asked us if they could host a benefit for our organization.  That rarely happens!

For those of you who have attended one of our tasting events, you will be sure to remember Chef Francois’s giant Paella dish which, due to its popularity, he featured every year.  Francois was born in Spain and was classically trained in France before coming to the USA. He actually hails from the region of Spain that is known as the birthplace of Paella. He has worked in a number of fine dining establishments and also owned his own restaurant featuring southern French cuisine.

Patrick Chabert comes from a long line of French chefs and his family restaurant was awarded a Michelin star for many years before Patrick came to the USA. Patrick was the resident sous chef for both Jean Banchet and Roland Liccione of the world-famous Le Francais in Wheeling, Illinois, and is currently the private executive chef for Duchossois Capital Management.
